The Embassy of the Republic of Liberia in Washington, D.C. hereby informs the public that due to the severe winter weather conditions, the Embassy will also be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

During the closure, routine consular and administrative services will be suspended. However, requests for emergency consular assistance may be directed to the Office of the Ambassador via email at amb.office@liberianembassyus.org. Messages will be monitored on a limited basis.

Applicants with scheduled appointments for January 27 are advised that their appointments will be automatically rescheduled, and further information will be communicated once normal operations resume.

The Embassy will resume normal operations on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 10 am.

The Embassy regrets any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and thanks the public for its understanding and cooperation. Members of the public are encouraged to continue monitoring official U.S. Government weather advisories and to exercise caution during the winter storm.
