The Embassy of the Republic of the Liberia presents its compliments to the Department of State, all Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations accredited to the United States of America and has the honor to announce the following funeral activities and memorial service in the United States of H.E. Dr. Amos Claudius Sawyer, Former President of the Interim Government of National Unity of the Republic of Liberia, from 1990-1994, who died in the USA following a protracted illness.
- A Book of Condolence will be opened at the Embassy of the Republic of Liberia located on 5201 16th Street, NW Washington, DC 20011, on March 16-18, 2022, from 11:00 am to 3:00pm
- Wake-keeping and viewing of the body will take place on March 19, 2022, at 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer 5603 N Charles Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21210. Memorial Service will start immediately thereafter at 11:00 a.m. at the same venue.
- Funeral Rites will take place on April 2, 2022, in Monrovia, Liberia
