PRESIDENT SIRLEAF VISITS  EMBASSY IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

Washington, D.C.: Friday, September 23, 2016, was a special day at the Embassy of Liberia in Washington, D.C. During a day-long stay in Washington, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf also paid a short visit to the Embassy and met with the staff.

During a brief welcome ceremony, Deputy Chief of Mission, Hon. Jeff G. Dowana, on behalf of Ambassador Jeremiah Sulunteh and staff, wished the President well as she labors to provide capable leadership for Liberia.Responding, President Sirleaf lauded the staff for their services, and encouraged them to continue to strive for progress.

The President was then engaged in an open dialogue with members of the staff, who brought various matters of concern to her attention.

The Liberian leader underscored the government’s commitment to improve conditions at Liberia’s various missions abroad.
