27/08/2014: 2014 Liberia 's Independence celebrated in the U.S.A

Liberians Celebrate their 167th Independence Anniversary in the United States.

The 26th of July every year is a festive day for Liberians everywhere, as it marks the anniversary of their country's independence. This year's celebration, however, was overshadowed by the crisis created at home by the advent of the Ebola Virus Desease (EVD).  There were some official pre-scheduled activities that were staged in observance of our special day here in the United States. All activities, with the exception of the Diplomatic reception,  were scheduled and executed in Philadelphia, PA, U.S.A. The events are listed below in the order they occurred.
